Concept
At Shimogamo Shrine, I once created and exhibited a three-meter-tall sculpture inspired by the arm of the legendary god Susanoo.
In that work, I wrapped a real shimenawa (sacred rope) around the wrist and let shide (paper streamers) hang down.
This accessory was born from my desire to recreate that sculpture on my own arm.

This design carries such pride and prayer.

Features & Design
The only model in the series to feature eight shide charms, the “Thin” model has been upgraded for the 2026 Edition.
Inspired by the shimenawa that encircle sacred spaces, it offers a unique presence distinct from the “Thick” and “Standard” models that adorn shrines and temple gates.

The rope’s twists are intricately carved, resulting in greater depth and realism than the previous version.
The shide have been enlarged by 10%, giving them a stronger presence while maintaining delicate proportions.
On the reverse side, my signature is engraved, enhancing its value as an art piece.

Ideal for those who find thicker, heavier accessories cumbersome, yet still wish to carry an aura of sanctity and presence.

Warranty
Within one year from purchase, if the connecting ring that attaches the shide charm is damaged, we will repair it free of charge.
If the charm itself is lost, the actual replacement cost will be charged.

Care Instructions
The “Thin” model’s shide charms are delicate and may break under the following circumstances:

• Snagging on clothing or bags

• Being pressed under the handle of a heavy bag
