Hello. My name is Kenichi Asanoya. This online shop opened on July 28th of this year, and if you consider the solo exhibition of sculptures as its debut, this year marks its 18th year. This time I would like to talk a little about the roots of my work as an artist. The basis of my work is the influence of my grandfather, who was a researcher of Japanese culture. At the same time, I incorporated elements of the TV games, manga, and movies that I had loved since I was a child, and when I was taken to the shrines and temples, I let my imagination go wild, thinking things like, "It would be more interesting if it was more like this," or "Maybe there's actually a secret like this behind the scenes." A few years later, despite his family's objections, he decided to go to high school to study art because he wanted to do something interesting... This will be continued next time.
